Craft Bomb, Perth – what to look for and where

Here is the guide to what to look for and where for this years Craftbomb, Perth.

If you’re not there yet and need directions, here’s a link….

If you’re using a Smartphone and have accessed this page via the QR code on the posters/tags on the craftbomb works, We’d be really grateful if you could let us know what you think (I don’t have a Smartphone so can’t test it :-)) and any feedback gratefully received.

We started setting up in the morning so the images from then are lovely, bright and sunny. When we returned with Sheila and Louise at about 7pm, the weather had changed and by the time we’d finished, it was starting to get dark so apologies for some of the later images.

So… here we go…. The Perth Craftbomb starts just before the existing Dragonfly sculpture and finishes near the wooden Ant sculpture…

Start near the gorgeous dragonfly…

There are three pieces for you to see here – a fibre ball, a porcelain mushroom stack and a basket of mushrooms (which you might have just walked past) and you can help yourself to a mushroom if there are any left 🙂

Look near the wonderful slug…

Follow the path to the huge wonderful slug that sits above the path. We set up part of our craftbomb at night and could certainly see why this slug takes pride of place – we had to be so careful not to stand on anyone 🙂 Around here you’ll find three pieces – some mushrooms hidden under a crevice, Tree of Life by Louise Ormerod and the start of Sheila Buchanans pieces….

Follow the trail to ‘All we leave are footprints’….

There are lots of things to see between the Slug and the Footprints stepping stones. Look out for mushrooms, fibreballs and Sheila’s artworks hidden in the grass…

Follow the path…

Look out for Garry Browns rustic sundial as you follow the path up the hill – it’s near the Footprint sculpture. If it’s sunny, try it out as it works really well!

Continue along the path up the hill and take a slight detour to have a rest at the bench – from here you’ll see some more little mushrooms…

Finish at ‘You’ll have to stand still to see us’…

There are three pieces located near the wooden Ant Sculpture – get yourself positioned to see the ant correctly and look for another Porcelain Mushroom Stack, a fibre ball and some more mushrooms hidden away for you to find….
