Holistic #Tip for the Day 2

Well…. missed yesterdays post and didn’t remember until 8am this morning so here it is – a day late, but still here…ImageTo continue the ‘new skill’ theme why not try to make your own fabric from a handful of sheep’s wool!!! Felting is a wonderful activity to take up in winter and is very popular at the moment. The size of your work can range from a tiny needle felt piece you can create in front of the fire to a large wet-felted rug or wall hanging. The ‘rolling’ phase for wet felting is a great way winter warmer and I find it a great stress buster as well – I think felters will know what I mean :-)If you’re near Dundee, we run beginners classes there which will give you the basic skill set and access to materials and equiment to get you started but you’ll find lots of great ideas and see what you can do with felting on the International Feltmakers Association website.
